Meet Pastor Marit Johnson
The Rev. Marit Johnson was called to Zion in 2026. Core to Pastor Marit’s theology is God’s desire that all creation have abundant and flourishing life. Following her graduation from Concordia College, Moorhead, MN, Pastor Marit did a year of service with Lutheran Volunteer Corps where she interned with the Gender Justice and Women’s Empowerment desk (formerly Justice for Women) at the ELCA Churchwide Organization in Chicago.
After working as the official documentation manager in the ELCA’s Office of the Secretary, Pastor Marit attended Trinity Lutheran Seminary in Columbus, OH, before transferring to Wartburg Theological Seminary in Dubuque, IA. She has served with congregations in Ohio, South Dakota, Iowa, and Illinois. She is always willing to talk about music, figure skating, and books.
